Finally! We had plans for this mating fall 2025, but of course there was an ice storm on the one day we could move the sire.
Anyway, we were finally able to connect and get Marlin to What’s One More for what he has reported as “the best summer camp vacation ever!!”
He has good recall, the leash/harness is my safety rule
for when we have dogs that don’t live here visiting
The initial plan was only a breeding to Poppy but as this will be Marlin’s first litter(s), with permission from his owner, due to some initial shyness issues Cherry proved to be a better mate to “show him the ropes” which is ironic which this will be her first litter and Poppy’s second.
We’re also really excited for the Cherry x Marlin litter, they’re going to be excellent sport dogs with fantastic personalities.
Puppies are due mid-October with puppy x-rays done late September/early October, and which point I will start contacting people who’ve filled out my questionnaire to become a potential puppy owner.
